This is the sound of a revolution.

There are some talents on screen that need more chances than they’re getting, Bobby Cannavale being a perfect example. Boardwalk Empire fans will remember him for his villainous and terrifying appearance as Gyp Rossetti, and he’s got nowhere near enough attention for it since. Hopefully he’ll get another chance for a hit (pardon the pun), courtesy of upcoming HBO drama, Vinyl which has just released a brand new trailer.

Backed by executive producers Martin Scorsese, Terence Winter (creator of Boardwalk Empire) and Mick Jagger the series drops us in 1970s New York, when sex, drugs, and rock ’n’ roll were in full effect. At the forefront of it all is music executive (Bobby Cannavale) who is making deals both on and off the table.

Cannavale is also joined by Olivia Wilde, Ray Romano, Ato Essandoh, Max Casella, P.J. Byrne, J.C. MacKenzie, Birgitte Hjort Sørensen, Juno Temple, Jack Quaid, James Jagger, and Paul Ben-Victor. You can see them all when Vinyl takes the stage in January next year.
