If the report of Peter Dinklage joining X-Men: Days Of Future Past was one to blow your minds over, the latest addition will run high risk of brows to rise unevenly and perhaps even the potential chin rub. Revealed (as all casting news has been) by that tweeting tale-teller, Bryan Singer it appears he’s now got the added talent of The Intouchables star, Omar Sy for an as yet unspecified role.

See, says right there look. Now it’s official that Sy will be joining the ranks of mutants new, old and old new mutants in the form of James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence and Singer’s original super mutant-squad consisting of Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore.
With Sy being an unspecified piece to the puzzle, it’s caused plenty of speculation amongst fans about what part he could be playing. Already time-travelling hero, Bishop has been mentioned which would make sense considering characters will be crossing paths with their older selves to stop a possible future of doom, but Bishop didn’t make an appearance in the original Days Of Future Past story-arc so it doesn’t quite fit. Of course, there’s every chance that Sy could be a brand new character added to the mutant movie universe, as well. To quote an environmentally friendly Eddie Izzard, the possibilities are endless. Expect all to be revealed when Days Of Future Past hits screens next year.
