In truth, the recent revelation from the latest Ant-Man TV Spot has been hiding in plain sight over on IMDB, but that’s not to say that folks still won’t want the surprise spoiled for them. Should you be a member of that party, then look away before you learn which hero will be joining Scott Lang in his debut adventure right this second.
Have they gone? Okay. Good.
So as you can see in the latest preview up top, none other than Anthony Mackie’s Falcon will be making a fairly prominent appearance in Peyton Reed’s upcoming adaptation of the size-changing, second-tier hero. Currently there’s no confirmation whether he’ll be on the same side as our titular protagonist or not to begin with, but I’d doubt he’d be getting his feathers ruffled for the enemy – that’s simply not his style.
If you have kept yourself away from the hive of Marvel-related details about the upcoming film, Paul Rudd plays the bad thief with a good heart, Scott Lang, who is enlisted by scientist Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) to become the Ant-Man. With this new job, Lang can shrink down to a ridiculous size and must use this new talent to break into one of Pym’s competitors who is stealing his technology for his own ends. Sounding like Iron Man with insects, Ant-Man also boasts the talents of Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Michael Pena, and T.I. – and the more I see of it the more I can’t wait to see how it all pans out – Wright-less or not.
You can see all of them burst into action when Ant-Man crawls into cinemas July 17. Whilst you’re here you can also watch the less spoilerific preview in the final big trailer below.
