The more that’s heard of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the more Marvel’s biggest competitor is showing promise. So far, all we have to go on is an eye-wateringly epic Comic-Con trailer that had plenty of staredowns, a rather unamused Bruce Wayne and Jesse Eisenberg’s bonce wielding the most questionable hair we’ve ever seen. Still, the world is staying positive and the films main antagonist has had some reassuring words to keep us that way.
Speaking on Today, Eisenberg explained just what we can expect whilst still avoiding any potential laser dots to turn up on his chest. Naturally, it was all positive from Superman’s arch-nemesis.
“It’s just the most incredible character. It was written by this guy Chris Terrio, this is his next movie after Argo, who is just this brilliant writer of characters. So this movie is not a cartoonish superhero movie, it’s this very serious, well-acted, well-written, well-directed movie. It’s really phenomenal.”
He might simply be ticking boxes for what we’ve heard before, but it’s still reassuring to hear. What we really need to see is more Luthor and just how much trouble he’s going to be causing when he pits DC’s most iconic heroes against one another. You’ll be able to see how it all pans out when Eisenberg along with Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter and Jason Mamoa rise with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice which hits screens March 25, 2016.
