If someone asks him to do a cameo, he says ‘yes’.

If Paul Feig can get Bill Murray on the set of his Ghostbusters reboot for a cameo appearance, then Ernie Hudson shouldn’t have been a bother. Turns out it wasn’t at all, following the news that the man who was Winston Zeddemore did indeed pop down before the last day of filming to take on a top-secret role, like the original founding fathers of paranormal investigation.

THR’s PKE meter went crazy getting confirmation that the most level-headed crew member of the original ‘busters finally gave in to giving the project a look after speaking out in the past over the idea of it all. Clearly Feig must be cooking up something special with Leslie Jones, Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig and Kate McKinnon as the new team of crack pot scientists who fight supernatural forces in New York City.

Also joining in the fun are Chris Hemsworth as the teams receptionist, Andy Garcia as the Mayor of New York, Michael Kenneth Williams and Nate Corddry.

The details of the original teams appearance in the project is still being kept under wraps, but just the fact that Bill Murray, Dan Akyroyd and Ernie Hudson are on board this should reassure fans. Bustin’ makes them still feel good, clearly but we can only wait and see how Feig deals with it when Ghostbusters arrives in cinemas next year, July 15.
