We meet again, Mr. Bourne.

We can only send our deepest sympathies to Bourne 5 producer, Frank Marshall who tweeted the very first look at Matt Damon as everyone’s favourite pencil pusher into skulls, Jason Bourne. Chances are that after realising he was being caught on camera, the secret agent got him in a head lock and demanded to know who sent him before knocking him unconscious. You never can tell with that fella.

The snap confirms that finally a fourth chapter to the leading man of the franchise (sorry, Mr. Cross) is happening and that Damon and director Paul Greengrass are together again to unleash slick spy globe-trotting hell. Both have confirmed that the film will have no connection to Jeremy Renner’s spin-off film, The Bourne Legacy.

Currently there are no solid story details on what will occur when we’re reunited with Jason, or even the title of the film itself, very hush-hush you see. What we do know is that joining Damon will be Julia Stiles reprising her role as Nicky Parsons as well as Ex-Machina’s Alicia Vikander, Tommy Lee Jones, and Vincent Cassell as the films big bad.

Expect more details to surface in the coming weeks, but for now simply prepare yourself for when The Bourne Whatever jumps on to screens July 29, 2016.
