Come May 2014, one would assume that security levels at Pinewood Studios will sky-rocket. Windows will be barred, AT-AT’s will be on patrol round the clock and anyone leaving 2mtr. wide exhaust ports unattended will be in serious trouble. Such are the necessary requirements to keep Star Wars: Episode VII away from prying eyes when the cameras start rolling, but thankfully we’ve finally been given a smidgen of detail about what is in store for us when Abrams takes a trip to a galaxy far, far away.
Arriving straight from the source that is StarWars.com, a recent post has revealed that the fan-magnetising movie that no one knows anything about will in fact take place 30 years after Return of the Jedi. The site also goes on to say that the film will “star a trio of new young leads along with some very familiar faces. No further details on casting or plot are available at this time.”
That there is confirming what we already know – that Fisher, Ford and Hamill are back as Leia, Han and Luke. It’s also politely saying, “we could tell you more but then we’d have to force choke you.” Fair’s fair.
It’s not a lot but it’s better than nothing ladies and gentlemandalorians. We can only hope that May time something will have slipped through the cracks, perhaps confirmation of Lupita Nyong’o and Adam Driver being approached for parts. Or maybe that some sort of war in the stars will actually take place. Well, it’d be reassuring wouldn’t it?
