There’s nothing more unpredictable than a snake, and there’s nothing more mysterious than smoke. So really, the heroes of The Force Awakens should keep their guard up when it comes to Supreme Leader Snoke, Andy Serkis’ now confirmed character for the seventh chapter in the Star Wars saga.
Announced on the films official site, neither went into too much detail over the motion capture masters character, but it’s enough to clarify with that menacing glare in the picture above that he’s a bit of a wrong’un. Is this the brains behind The First Order, newly tyrannical force taking over where the Galactic Empire left off?
Giving the voice over in the very first teaser back in December, Serkis much like the feared leaders of the Dark Side has remained hidden and probably will stay as such. We can only predict he’ll show his face when more footage arrives. Hopefully soon, because frankly December 18 can’t come soon enough.
For those that might not know, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is directed by J.J. Abrams and stars John Boyega as Finn, Daisy Ridley as Rey, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Oscar Isaac Poe Dameron, Lupita Nyong’o as Maz Kanata, and Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma. Still yet to have their characters confirmed are Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Crystal Clarke, Pip Anderson, Christina Chong and Miltos Yerolemou.
