Already a man familiar with seeing gold come awards season, Matthew McConaughey has made an appearance in a brand new trailer for his upcoming true-life tale, Gold. One that comes with a thin red-band and the occasional F-bombs that might not be worth watching at the work desk.

Directed by Traffic’s Stephen Gaghan, Gold sees McConaughey as Kenny Wells, a man who is quickly running out of options and finds his good luck in the form of an untapped gold mine. Naturally a rise and fall from this sought after mineral comes into play with Wells, making friends and enemies and breaking a few laws along the way.

The selling point here is that McConaughey looks to be having a whale of a time as Wells, leading the charge with what looks like a very impressive cast. Joining him along for this gold rush are Edgar Ramirez, Bryce Dallas Howard, Corey Stoll, Bruce Greenwood, Bill Camp, and Toby Kebbell.

Gold rushes into cinemas February 17.
